The Gambian dalasi (code: GMD,Symbol:D)is the currency of the Gambia that was adopted in 1971. It is subdivided into 100 bututs. There are six kinds of banknotes in circulation: 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 darasi; however, only 25, 50 butus and 1 darasi are on the market.
