The image of the new 10000 Peso notes was released in early 2010, but the earthquake and tsunami in the central part of the country in February of that year forced the issuance to be delayed because the earthquake and tsunami affected areas were unable to receive, store and distribute the notes. Finally, on March 31, Jos é de Gregorio, then governor of the central bank, bought a biography of Arthur Pratt at the museum's visual arts bookstore, marking the start of the money deal. After that, the bank was released and began to distribute to customers.
