A proposal has been agreed to by the Iranian parliament to drop four zeros, by replacing the rial with a new currency called the toman, the name of a previous Iranian currency, at the rate of one toman = 10,000 rials. This change is expected to take place between 2020 and 2022.

Sayyid Ruhollah Musavi Khomeini (UK: /xɒˈmeɪni/ khom-AY-nee, US: /xoʊˈ-/ khohm-; Persian: سید روح‌الله موسوی خمینی‎ [ɾuːholˈlɒːhe xomejˈniː] (About this soundlisten); 24 September 1902 – 3 June 1989), also known in the Western world as Ayatollah Khomeini,was an Iranian politician, revolutionary, and cleric. He was the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the leader of the 1979 Iranian Revolution, which saw the overthrow of the last Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, and the end of the 2,500 year old Persian monarchy. Following the revolution, Khomeini became the country's Supreme Leader, a position created in the constitution of the Islamic Republic as the highest-ranking political and religious authority of the nation, which he held until his death. He was succeeded by Ali Khamenei on 4 June 1989.

This is a type of tactile printing, tangible by fingertips. The portrait of Imam Khomeini, the phrase “the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran” in Persian and the nominal value of the banknote are printed by this method.

50000-5 5-Watermark and Electrotype

The 3D images of the portrait of Imam Khomeini and the numeral 5 are embedded in the paper pulp and are clearly visible when the banknote is held up to the light.

50000-6 6-Invisible Fluorescent Fibers

Very small fibers are embedded in the banknote paper, which become visible in blue, red, green and yellow color under UV light.

50000-7 7-Serial Numbers

The serial numbers are printed by red fluorescent ink which shifts to golden in color under UV light.

50000-8 8-Micro-Lettering (Micro-Printing)

Very small texts which are visible by a magnifying glass and are only printable by high-security printing machines.

50000-9 9-3D Linear Design (Medallion)

A special kind of security printing where the image appears 3D.

The Tomb of Hafez, commonly known as Hāfezieh (حافظیه), are two memorial structures erected in the northern edge of Shiraz, Iran, in memory of the celebrated Persian poet Hafez. The open pavilion structures are situated in the Musalla Gardens on the north bank of a seasonal river and house the marble tomb of Hafez. The present buildings, built in 1935 and designed by the French architect and archaeologist André Godard, are at the site of previous structures, the best-known of which was built in 1773. The tomb, its gardens, and the surrounding memorials to other great figures are a focus of tourism in Shiraz.
